Text book is okay, at best. Lengthy explanations for obvious concepts and shorter explanations for less trivial topics, definitely not a book worth keeping. Worst thing about this book is that none of the figures are on the same page they are introduced. If you are trying to read the chapters and understand all the figures, you will be flipping pages constantly. They could at least introduce the figure on the same page and continue the discussion on later pages, that would make it a lot easier to follow. Its like they intentionally put everything BUT what they are describing on each and every page... Regarding McGraw-Hill Connect, it is the most expensive, disorganized, poorly constructed, and useless "learning" tool ever. It provides 0 feedback and no explanations for the problems, your answer is either right or wrong. The problem explanations only direct you to the relevant chapter, pathetic. Connect is just an $80 homework generator & grading program for teachers, it simplifies their jobs at the expense of their students. Thanks for the two year subscription, just what I needed for my ONE SEMESTER COURSE.

There's a fair amount of wear and tear to exterior of this rental but the majority of the pages inside the book are fine. It will do the job for the semester. A fair rental fee. I am satisfied with it.

This book is very easy to understand. I looked up the Advanced Placement topics for both microeconomics and macroeconomics on the College Board website, and followed along those guidelines. This book does a very good job of covering those topics. I haven't actually taken the AP exams because I'm out of high school and would have to pay out of my own pocket, and I won't be able to take the exams before I apply to college. However, I would feel very confident going to take the AP exam after studying this book.
